This Week in 1975 … Phoebe Snow

“Poetry Man,” Phoebe Snow – DOWNLOAD

In a 1998 interview with Pause & Play, Snow said her gold-selling, self-titled debut album in 1974 was a lot for an admittedly shy 21 year old to handle. She equated it to being sideswiped and jokingly asked, “Did anybody get the number of that truck?”

Read the whole interview. She was funny, self-deprecating and very accommodating.

Sadly, she died in 2011 of complications from a stroke. What a sweet woman.

Gerry Galipault debuted Pause & Play online in October 1997. Since then, it has become the definitive place for CD-release dates — with a worldwide audience.
