If you’ve ever been in love and have had your heart broken, then you know how hard it is to trust in love again.
Christina LaRocca’s “Hard to Trust in Love,” which makes its premiere on Pauseandplay.com, speaks to the brokenhearted.
“It’s something I’d say most of us have dealt with at least once,” she says, “but you can’t let it turn you into a popsicle. Sometimes you just need to let it in and not fight it. I wrote this song years ago, to someone who was going through a divorce. I wasn’t just telling him to trust in love again, but I was telling myself as well.
“This is the last single I release before we unleash the entire album on July 12. It was produced by Gene Micofsky, who is not only an incredible musician and songwriter, but also composes music for film and television. He plays guitar on this song as well as on 99 percent of the album as well as wrote the beautiful cello arrangement on this track performed by Simone Vitucci.”
Her new album, “These Are My Whiskey Dreams …” (L Rock Entertainment), was produced by Andros Rodriguez, Alex Arias, Micofsky and Khalid Philipe (aka Lid), and it touches on her many influences, from alternative rock to Americana to reggae.
