Shoulda-Been-Hits: The Beatmasters feat. Betty Boo … and more

If you’re like me, you know a hit when you hear one … unfortunately, stars didn’t align for these overlooked Shoulda-Been-Hits.

“Hey DJ / I Can’t Dance (To That Music You’re Playing),” The Beatmasters feat. Betty Boo (1989; went Top 10 in the U.K., did not chart in the U.S.)

“It’s a Night for Beautiful Girls,” The Fools (1980) … reached No. 67 in the U.S. but that’s hardly a hit

“Talkin’ All That Jazz,” Stetsasonic (1988)

“Man of Colours,” Icehouse (1987)

“Crop Comes In,” Chatham County Line (2010)

“Mind Mischief,” Tame Impala (2012)

“Nothin’ No Sweeter Than Love,” Carl Carlton (1965)
