ABC aired “Alice Cooper: The Nightmare,” a conceptual TV special showcasing every song off his “Welcome to My Nightmare” album. Cooper plays “Steven,” who is trapped in a nightmare and tries to escape, and is visited by the “Spirit of the Nightmare,” played by Vincent Price. The special won an Emmy Award for Outstanding Achievement in Video Tape Editing for a Special.
