“Brittany and I are a husband-and-wife songwriting team and the ‘Smilin” album is very personal to us,” David Farkas tells P&P. “The ‘As We Pray’ song is the song I wrote to propose to Brittany about a year and a half ago. We wrote ‘Love Forever’ while planning our wedding. The title track, ‘Smilin’,’ was written by Brittany after meeting and chatting with a gentleman recovering from a stroke.

“I am also a TV/film actor and the instrumental ‘Final Crossroad’ was a song I wrote for a film that I was starring in. Unfortunately, the film’s director and producer had a heart attack in the middle of the shooting and we were never able to finish the film. He was a good friend of mine and I was going to surprise him with the song I wrote, but he never got to hear it. I think he’d really like it.”
