Tony Bennett says he’s “Just Getting Started” at age 90. Good, because we don’t want him leaving anytime soon.
His new autobiography is the week’s top new music book release.
“I am lucky to still be singing, performing, and entertaining people all over the world at an age that is long after many great performers have retired,” he writes in his introduction. “And I’m just getting started.”
He will be celebrating his birthday (which was Aug. 3) with a two-hour, all-star special on NBC, “Tony Bennett Celebrates 90: The Best Is Yet to Come,” at 9 p.m. ET Dec. 20. A companion CD collection is due Dec. 16.
Read on.
