Your Music Book Store (Nov. 24 and Beyond)

Well, the cat is out of the bag … sort of.

In her “Boys in the Trees: A Memoir,” this week’s leading new music book, Carly Simon confirms that the second verse of “You’re So Vain” (“You had me several years ago when I was still quite naïve”) is about actor Warren Beatty. Not a shocking revelation, to be honest.

That’s as far as she goes with “You’re So Vain.” She doesn’t disclose the second guy on a yacht and the third guy on a Learjet.

Elsewhere in the book, she reveals her hook-up with Mick Jagger, all the while she was falling in love with James Taylor. Then there’s Jack Nicholson and Cat Stevens … and on and on.

TMI? You be the judge.

Read on …
