I was 13 when I first heard David Bowie. “Space Oddity” had found new life over U.S. airwaves in 1972, three years after it first hit in his native United Kingdom. It was unlike anything else on the radio.

He continued to enthrall me and millions of other fans over the next five decades. Was there anyone more musically creative? He was a visionary.

No doubt, there will be more Bowie music book releases over the next year, dissecting every bit of his career. Just enjoy his music.
