Your Music Book Store (Dec. 15 and Beyond)

San Francisco-based photographer and filmmaker Jay Blakesberg didn’t just have a front-row seat to the Grateful Dead’s final five “Fare Thee Well” concerts last summer, he documented the experience on stage and behind the scenes.

In his new hardcover book “Fare Thee Well: Celebrating the 50th Anniversary of the Grateful Dead,” Blakesberg and his crew help readers say farewell to surviving Dead members Mickey Hart, Bill Kreutzmann, Phil Lesh and Bob Weir. Along for the ride are Phish’s Trey Anastasio, Jeff Chimenti and Bruce Hornsby.

It leads this week’s list of new music book releases.
