This Week in … 1991: ‘Right Here, Right Now,’ Jesus Jones

“Right Here, Right Now,” Jesus Jones … the song, written by frontman Mike Edwards, was inspired by the many changes in Eastern Europe in the late 1980s and early ’90s, including the fall of the Berlin Wall. The song was a bigger hit in the United States than in the band’s native U.K.; it peaked at No. 2 in the U.S. and reached No. 31 in the U.K.
