(Rainfeather, March 31, 2009)
BTW: Clark's double-disc set — one acoustic, one electric — showcases his versatility and pays homage to his broad range of influences, from Stravinsky to Coltrane to Monroe.
"There are two sides of me that are being represented here, and I wanted to give listeners a choice so they could see how the songs evolved. They can compare and contrast," he says. It's how he enjoys digesting his favorite music, after all, and he hopes to offer an alternative to the limited commercial releases currently on shelves.
His project is comprised of songs both real and profound: "I think you have a tremendous amount of responsibility as an artist," Clark says. "To me, that's what drives me to do what I do. All the songs here tell stories, and they have some lesson to draw about the human condition."

(Chime Entertainment/Fontana, March 31, 2009)
BTW: With "Interrupting the Silence," Morgan wanted to "get some things off of my young-adult chest, things that I think many others have at one point or another felt and tried to ignore but didn't/couldn't even acknowledge," he tells P&P. "I want to impact and affect others. Bring a fresh perspective, be an ally, be bloody background music even. I want more; for me and for you."
What's his gut feeling on how the album will do?
"I trust my gut," he says. "It takes care of turkey sandwiches for me. Sales predictions? I leave that to the marketing lads. What I DO know is that there's something on this record for everyone who hears it. I hope they choose to listen. I have big-time ambition."
