BTW: With "Future Future Future Perfect," Freezepop is "taking the sound and approach to making electropop songs that we've been doing since we started the band, and pushing it in new directions, both sonically and sophistication," programming whiz the Duke of Pannekoeken tells P&P. "It's all about making fun, catchy songs infused with tongue-in-cheek lyrics. I personally wanted this album to have a wide range of emotions and energies represented through all the songs so that the listening experience wasn't as one dimensional as most electronic bands' albums can be."

The Duke has a definite electropop hero: longtime Depeche Mode member Alan Wilder. "He played such an important but behind-the-scenes role in giving Depeche Mode its character for all the important albums that got me into enjoying and making this genre of music," the Duke says. " 'Violator' and 'Music for the Masses' are seminal synth records for me and he was very responsible in the way those albums came out."
