BTW: For "Beautiful Distraction," Keith wanted to give an accurate and real portrayal of herself and her love for music. "I feel that I find myself a little more every time I write a song, and have something more to share with the world," she tells P&P. "My goal with it is really just to reach as many people as possible, in hopes of them relating to, and really feeling my music."
The California native has already made her mark. She was recently named Artist of the Month at KGRL, a 24/7 high-definition radio stream devoted to female-fronted music. "KGRL has been a great supporter of me," Keith says, "and so many other wonderful women musicians out there. It never gets old knowing that there are people who recognize and appreciate your passion, and all your hard work!"

| SteelDrivers, The (bluegrass collective led by Mike Henderson and Tammy Rogers) |
"The SteelDrivers" (Hear here) |
(Rounder, Jan. 15, 2008) | BTW: Rogers gives the lowdown on how The SteelDrivers were born. "Mike Henderson had been writing with (guitarist) Chris (Stapleton) for a couple of years when they decided that a lot of the material would work well in a bluegrass setting," Rogers tells P&P. "Mike knew me from the Dead Reckoning days so he called and asked if I wanted to play a little bluegrass. He knew (bassist) Mike Fleming from college and I don't really even know how long he's known (banjo player) Richard Bailey, but Henderson called everybody and got it all together. It didn't start as a band, but it quickly became evident that everybody was really into it and we started working up material."
Their goal? "We wanted the CD to sound as much like we do live as possible," Rogers says.
