BTW: "I definitely wanted to make what I felt was a more cohesive album and also to really create a sound and production style that brought out the songs," Reed tells P&P. "I'm really proud of the songs on this album and I wanted to make sure that the arrangements didn't overpower them but enhanced them. I also wanted to use the contrasting elements of the toughness of the rhythm section, guitars and my voice with the smoothness of the strings and backing vocals.
"I feel like there are so many different kinds of songs on this album but that they all work really well together so I really want people to be able to listen to this record in every setting. Whether they're at a party, at home, driving or whatever, I want people to be able to put this record on and enjoy it and have it make them feel something. I think you can definitely take away so many different emotions from the songs so everyone can really relate to it."
